Lost In Time
Detail from a 16x20 acrylic. Reinforcing how this old manor is being reclaimed by nature is the cutoff left border (okay, it wouldn't all fit on the scanner). The original photo had the shaded side as a featureless black. I lightened it with enough color to bring details out of the dark. Most of the foliage is the free-brush type, where you put several colors on the brush and let nature create itself. Can't get more random than that. All except for the ferns at lower right, which were feathered in atop the darker area.
